As always, we have been busy, busy, busy! The first weekend in March was spent on the Spring Retreat with my hubby's youth - we checked out Sky Zone and it is awesome! If you live in the Atlanta area, it is a must! It is an indoor trampoline park with dodge ball, open jump pits, and lots of other fun activities! We also experienced Glow Worship and took a trip to Passion City Church! Ah how I love to visit there!
The jars above were a Pintrest fail .. well not a total fail but they only glowed for a few minutes. The glow in the dark bubbles were a complete fail though!
Passion 2013 CD!
A beautiful sunset at church during the retreat.
The next weekend was spent working out in our yard ... a project we had hoped to have completed long before now!
We ripped out the bushes and are redoing our landscaping! But allow me to show you why it is not finished ...
This picture is of terrible quality, but check out that hail! We had a quite the hail storm last Monday and suffered a good bit damage! Not only that, but a house down the street was struck by lightning and caught on fire! My hubby was standing by the window and saw it, so we immediately called 911. Needless to say, it was an eventful evening. Our area was apparently one of the worst hit .. we need a new roof, new siding, new gutters, and new landscaping fabric, haha! Our house just finished today being dried out due to our roof leaking. We don't want mold in our walls or ceiling! Hopefully we will get back to our yard soon!
In Pre K we started our Zoo Unit last week. We also celebrated St. Patrick's Day and a little leprechaun visited our room and left a mess! Here are some activities from the last few weeks (some of them come from our required curriculum):

A shared writing about the zoo.
Animal coverings sort. I don not remember where I got the pictures from.
Love this activity! After reading about gorilla's the kids measured a gorilla's hand and compared it to their own hand. Idea source: Ms. Lee's Kindergarten
Painting by dipping play animal's footprints into paint and making tracks.
Students chose an animal and practiced writing the letter that animal began with.
Zoo vocabulary words - got to practice writing from left to right!
And of course, a graph of our favorite zoo animals!
More zoo activities will be coming soon- I forgot to take pictures of some of the other animal's we have made! And hopefully I will have some landscaping pictures to share soon! :)
