 This is my 4th Fall not living in the mountains and every year I somehow forget that the colors don't really start to appear here until the very end of October or beginning of November. I'm so glad they have finally arrived!

There have been oh so many beautiful moments of fall to soak up.

A few weeks ago we took a trip back to the mountains to attend 2 weddings and visit family. It was so good to go home and mountains were gorgeous! My hubby performed his first wedding for his cousin and I did a little wedding hopping between another wedding. We also attended the annual Pumpkin Festival and a hometown football game.

And of course we spent time preparing for Halloween. Our pumpkin this year was appropriately called "Goofy." On Halloween we had Character Day at school, where I attended as Wilbur from Charlotte's Web. It was such a fun day and I enjoyed seeing all of the different costumes! Halloween night was super busy with Trunk of Treats, a Fall Festival, and 5th Quarter at church.

And this weekend .. well we started it off by closing on our new house Friday afternoon! We didn't actually take possession until Monday, but we still celebrated Friday night. I'll be sharing more about our new home later this week, but of course we are packing and preparing to move again.

After spending several hours raking leaves Saturday, we did sneak in some time to take a beautiful fall walk in a park and peruse a stack of books while enjoying Starbucks at Barnes and Noble .. one of our favorite dates!

And we can't forget our annual date night for pumpkin roll making! :)

Have time to dream. To think. 

To enjoy peace and quiet.

And the wonders of this life-

Happy Wednesday! We're halfway there! (Thank goodness!)

I'm not going to lie, I'm having a hard time getting back into the swing of things after being off for 2 months. We've been in school for 3 days now and my to do list seems to be growing not shrinking. I started my workdays with a positive outlook, (almost) ready and excited about going back, but by Friday I was exhausted and wayyyy overwhelmed and stressed.

 And then came Monday, all too quickly, and I had to go to a training and leave my assistant in charge of the first day of school! What terrible timing.

 So here we are on Wednesday and today was a much better day overall. But I have been in need of encouragement this week so that's mostly what I will be sharing for today's edition of Oh, How Pinteresting at The Vintage Apple.
