Having a day off totally throws you off .. when I wrote lesson plans for this week I wrote them for 5 days instead of 4! It's kind of like a nice surprise on Friday though. :)
Anyway, it may be a little delayed, but my Labor Day weekend was BUSY. And I managed to take pictures!
Friday night was date night at our house! We hung out at our neighborhood pool, ate pizza by candlelight on the living room floor, and enjoyed a movie. And since we're old we were in bed by 11. :)
Saturday morning we were up EARLY and spent all day at Celebrate Freedom, Atlanta's biggest 1 day concert festival. We staked out our place on the ground and spent the day listening to Laura Story, Mike's Chair, Jason Gray, Francesca Battistelli, some bands I wasn't familiar with, and of course Switchfoot and Third Day.
Bob and Larry were even there!
Laura Story
Mike's Chair .. Love them!
Francesca Battistelli
Switchfoot!
Third Day!
Sunday and Monday was spent with my family. On Monday we went to a park to play in the water. It was COLD! It was nice to spend some time outside!
We ended the weekend with a Mocha Cookie's and Cream Milkshake from Chick-fil-lay. It is delish!
I hope your Labor Day was relaxing .. I'm looking forward to this coming weekend to recover from this week .. school hasn't quite settled down yet. Still dealing with a lot of behavior issues and Afterschool care is a continual hurdle. But today was a better day and productive, so I am grateful for that.
So here is some Labor Day inspired wisdom about work to get you through until Friday!
Until next time!
