Today has been a cozy day inside working on items for school, putting away Christmas decorations, napping, and laundry. Oh the laundry! It is my last day of Winter Break and while I didn't accomplish very many of the tasks I had intended to over the break, I did spend lots of time with family. Oh and I joined the iphone world!
Kiwi has done some serious napping today!
I already shared about our Christmas memories here and our New Years Eve was relatively calm. We spent time with another family playing games and ringing in the New Year. After a few short days at home we headed back to NC for skiing with my hubby's youth. We traveled to Wolf Ridge Ski Resort in Mars Hill, NC.
What is a youth trip without a little adventure? Something always happens to us! Thursday afternoon it began snowing, which would have been great if we didn't need to drive in it! We ended up cutting our night session short and it still took us almost 2 hours to get back to our hotel! Friday was bitterly cold but I think everyone had a great time!
Confession: I LOVE snow. I love how quiet and peaceful it is. I think it is one way that God tells us to slow down and take a break for a little while. Plus, its just fun!
Check out a few pictures from our adventure!
From the top of the mountain on the advanced slope .. however, I am not advanced and fell all over the place, again, and again! But what a view!
I know many of us are preparing for some really low temperatures and winter weather coming our way. Stay warm and have a good week back at school! :)
