I have been spoiled. It has been an extra long, [almost] endless summer with lots of adventures. There are a few good things about moving from Georgia to NC! ;)
Last weekend I helped to chaperone a youth trip to Oak Island, NC for a retreat called SpiritUs. We stayed at Fort Caswell, which was a beautiful location. The beach was wild and empty. It was fun weekend with the theme of The Walking Dead, which of course meant lots of zombie makeup!
And then this past weekend my in-laws came to visit. We headed to the Greensboro Grasshoppers game Thursday night after getting rained out on Monday. Friday the boys headed to a golf tournament while the girls went shopping! The rest of our weekend consisted of lots of good food, a little reading, church, and getting ready for my first official day back at school.
These red velvet cupcakes from Costco are seriously good!
(I shared this recipe for Chocolate Chip Pound Cake here!)
Homemade salsa with fresh, local tomatoes! Mmm good!
And this guy .. do we have words? haha!
And well, now my summer days are over but there are a few more weekends left!
What are you up to during these last days of summer?
