DIY Cabinet Updates

I can finally share our DIY kitchen cabinet update!

A few weeks ago we tore our kitchen apart and began using Rust-Oleum Cabinet Transformations to refinish our cabinets. Our cabinets were not in terrible shape, they just needed a small face lift. This kit comes with everything you need and step by step directions. You can check out the website above for videos and more information.

We were not adventurous .. we kept the same color so the before and after photos are really not that drastic, but in person it looks much brighter and cleaner.

I should warn you though ... my hubby didn't think this process was easy as others may make it seem! And, it was LONG .. this is NOT a weekend project. Every layer has to dry for so long before you can move on. However, this is a budget friendly way to change or update your cabinets!

So here we go .. here are the before photos:

Here are some in process photos:

All the hardware was separated and labeled!

We were really going for that open, modern look. (HAHA) Please notice my tupperware empire.

And after ..

Like I said .. the difference is hard to capture on camera!

Check out a sneak peak of our bathroom update too! We've only done the cabinets so far, but hopefully during September we can finish out the rest.

The cabinets were white before. They are now Expresso, so it is a big difference!  The counter tops, toliets, and mirrors are all going to be changed out.

That's all for today!
