welcome home to north carolina

Hi friends!

As much as I came to love Georgia, it is good to be home in North Carolina! It has been a fun weekend spent exploring our new surroundings! Friday we headed to downtown Greensboro, found our way to Bicentennial Garden, spent some time shopping, and ended our evening trying out a local burger place.

Scenes from downtown- we started at Center City Park and went walking from there.

Looking forward to to checking out some of these restaurants!

I don't really have words for this ..

The Bicentennial Garden was a beautiful, peaceful sanctuary in the middle of the hustle and bustle!

Hops Burger bar was our dinner destination .. I accidently deleted the picure of my massive, delicious burger and fries! Will be going back for sure!

Saturday was an equally adventurous day. We did a little hiking at Hagan Stone Park, which is practically in our back door! Saturday evening brought a Starbucks trip and a sunset drive!

The chapel at Hagan Stone .. I kind of love these old doors!

A few months ago I discovered on free iced coffee day that I actually like ice coffee! It has become my weakness.

Oh and I don't want to leave out 2 other fun happenings in the last few weeks!

1) We bought a new (to us) car! (with cash ya'll!)

2) The youth welcomed us with a flocking .. of flamingos! Too funny .. we had fun holding the flamingos for "ransom." The youth showed back up with sweet treats and armed with "guns." After we unlocked the flamingos from their hiding place we ended up flocking someone else's yard!

Our senior pastor being "forced" to hand over the church directory.

What have you been up to this weekend?
